Dr. Bob Yack, DVM

Hi there! I'm Dr. Bob! I am the head veterinarian here at JCVC.

I attended Southern Illinois University, and received my Bachelors of Science in 1988, and then my Master's in Animal Science in 1989. I graduated from the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine with my doctorate of veterinary medicine in 1993.

After I graduated as a doctor, I continued my education and received my post degree Certifications in External fixation and Internal fixations specializing in plate reconstructions in 1994, Stifle reconstruction in 1995, Cosmetic plate reconstruction in 1996, and my Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy certification in 2002. If you can't tell, I really enjoy the orthopedics!

I performed emergency medicine at Champaign Urbana Emergency Clinic in Illinois and Mueller Animal Hospital in Sacramento until my wife Lisa (who is also a veterinary internist and oncologist) and I purchased Jackson Creek Veterinary Clinic in 1996.  We wanted to do the best medicine we could and treat every patient as if they were our own. Our original clinic was on Jackson Gate Road next to Teresa's restaurant and it quickly grew. We built our current location in 2000.

We have 2 children, Michaela and Dylan. There is a multitude of dogs, cats, and chickens. Some of my passions are flying Remote Controlled planes with my son, Miniature Armour modeling, weight lifting, and being with my family.

Hey my name is Tiffany. I came to Jackson Creek Veterinary in November 2013 as a kennel technician for the Bed & Breakfast. I have had animals all my life. As a little girl I showed horses and one of my first jobs was working at a horse ranch locally. My favorite part about working here is learning about different dog and cat breeds, I find it absolutely fascinating. I have also really enjoyed getting to know the pets that come into the Bed & Breakfast and the clinic.

One of my passions and dreams is to start my own pet rescue someday. I've always had a big heart for animals in need of a safe haven. I started bringing home stray animals as a girl and that followed me into my adulthood. I have two rescues myself, a Plott Hound/American Staffordshire Terrier mix named Panda, and a cat named Kevin. Quinn

Quinn is our clinic kitty! He has been with us since February 2014. He was brought to us by Amador County Animal Control for a hernia repair; he ended up having a rough recovery, and after staying with us for so long, we just decided to keep him! He lives in our breakroom/lounge area, with many comfy places to sleep, lots of people to love (and lots of lunch boxes that he tries to get in to).

Quinn is a Himalayan/Maine Coon mix (we suspect, since he is rather hefty), and is the biggest lover, cuddler, and talker you've ever met! We're lucky to have Quinn, and we're sure he feels the same!
